Micki << I find it interesting that Hugh would have sons named Daniel, Abner, Andrew, Benjamin, John, William, etc...which are precisely the same names we're seeing in the area of Montgomery, Bedford, and Grayson Counties. Perhaps he named his sons after BROTHERS??? Does anyone know who Hugh's parents were? I seem to recall he may also have been from the New Jersey area? I think we're onto something here...Funny how sometimes these things just sort of fall into our laps for us to digest and put together. I think the Elijah Howell I referred to earlier was in Laurens County, S.C., and his father John Howell was born in Virginia. Was this Ms. Sumter you mention here by chance in Laurens County, S.C.?
