    3. Not by my research, but I have seen the name on the web. She was the daughter of Able Brewer, who was born abt 1782.. but I do not know where.. but we suspect the Brewers may be from VA.. Able Brewer b abt 1782 married Mary Morgan born abt. 1790 in Chatham Co., and their daughter Amelia Brewer married a relative of Mary Morgan, whose grandfather was Charles Morgan, who left his will in Chatham Co., NC in 1787..We suspect these Morgans to be from VA also.. but my William Howell is NOT from Chatham Co., but there were several Howells in Chatham Co. too.. > Jackie > > Researching the families of: Morgan, Brewer, Howell, Ballard, Beck, Ricker, Knight, Woods, Simmons and Buffington > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Willie D Smith" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2002 12:56 PM > Subject: Re: [HOWELL] Ref:Grayson, Loudoun, Botetourt > > > Yes, in fact Andrew Calvin Howell and some of his relatives from Grayson > County, Virginia settled in Ashe County, North Carolina!
