Specifically, 8 May 1825, a deed from the sole heirs of William Howel, decd, formerly of Grayson Co Va. to Andrew Howell, the land which he was already living on, on Fox Creek, near the New River and Mouth of Wilson. The callings refer to the Andrew's fence, a corner of Andrew and George Howell, and also to the old line of William Howel. The Howel and Howell spellings are randomly mixed.
