I'm tracked my family back to North Carolina but I'm not 100% sure just where yet. I've been told I'm a descendant of old Etheldred Howell. If so there doesn't seem to be any others in his line in the DNA records. So come on everyone lets put this puzzle together :) Here is what I know on my family: Great-grandfather: John Wesley Howell b. June 20, 1890 in Graves Co., KY and died March 28, 1961 in McCracken Co., KY 2nd-great-grandfather Jepthsavandeba P. Howell b. 1859 in Maury Co., TN. died bet. 1900-1910 Marshall Co., KY 3rd-great-grandfather Major M. Howell b. Jan. 1835 in Maury Co., TN. and died June 15, 1906 in Marshall Co., KY 4th-great-grandfather Daniel C. Howell b. 1812 in NC and died April 19, 1861 in Maury Co., TN. brothers Major C. Howell b. August 20, 1799 in NC and died May 12, 1888 in Giles Co., TN .............Jesse C. Howell b. 1802 in NC and died aft. 1880 in Maury Co., TN.. 5th-great-grandfather John H. Howell b. ? d. 1840's in Maury Co., TN. (I've been told his birthdate was around 1777 but I'm not sure) I'd love to find away to connect this bunch to the other Howell Families from North Carolina, but so far the records lead no where in Maury Co. I tried the DNA test and they just confirmed my belief that my bunch dropped in from space..lol...
