I don't actually have a HOWELL in my line, but married into it. My great great grandmother's obituary states that her body was 'accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Charles HOWELL' from Blue Jacket Indian Territory. She had lived and is buried in Columbus, Cherokee County, KS and the obit stated that they had come through Parsons, KS on the Katy (that's a train). Mrs. HOWELL was either Amanda WALKER or Catherine WALKER before her marriage to Charles HOWELL. My great great grandmother was Elizabeth WALKER. In order to get Elizabeth's death certificate, I have to know WHERE she died. Oklahoma, Kansas????? It's a mystery. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Roberta Duvall Hammer
