Right now I'm searching for the parents of John Howell, b. abt 1730, PA. So far the likeliest (and only) candidates seem to be Evan and Sarah (Ogden) Howell, Quakers, of Edgemont Twp., Chester Co., PA. Evan Howell d. abt 1734 and adminstratiion records for Sarah (Odgen) Howell show that they had a son named John, b. abt 1729. Perfect for me!....but, I can't find any proof. Sarah mar. #2, abt 1741, William Surman. I believe she is the Sarah Surman who d. 1770/1771 in Phila. I haven't looked yet for any estate records. Can anyone offer any assistance? Thanks.
