Searching for the parents of Sarah HOWELL (my MAJOR quest in genealogy). Sarah HOWELL, b 1824 MS (possibly Copiah Co), m Ransom ELLIS in 1838 MS. (Ransom ELLIS, b 1815 MS, was the s/o Owen Jasper ELLIS & Charlotte Martha BARNES who m 1805 Wilkinson Co, MS.) Sarah & Ransom removed to Chicot Co, AR 1838-1840. They resided there until their deaths. Sarah d in 1893 and Ransom d in 1887. 1880 Chicot Co, AR census lists Sarah's father b KY, mother b MO. Her mother's name may have been Elizabeth Ann. Family legend says Sarah's father was one of the NJ HOWELLs who migrated to KY. Does anyone recognize my Sarah? AJ brewer2@bayou.com
