Please excuse this interruption. It will be my only response to the group. Mr Rowan's post below is extremely misleading. I merely suggested to Mr Rowan that he reconsider his frequent postings that *do not pertain to Howell genealogy.* I have received several posts from him that pertain to Mother's Day, several with attachments (which I thought were not allowed on this list) and other non-Howell genealogy postings. Since I live in Japan, I have to pay for each and every piece of email that I download. When non-Howell genealogy email comes through my mailbox from the Howell List, I consider it spam; I did not sign up on the list to receive such items. I am concerned that the Howell list could degrade into something other than a list for Howell genealogy. I am all for Jim Rowan's posts on the list, as long as they pertain to the subject at hand -- Howell genealogy. Topics other than genealogy could be better served in another forum, such as private email. Bulk mailings of unrelated topics are, in my opinion, inappropriate to this forum.
