Mike - I didn't see a Samuel Uriah Howell in my files, but I did find some info on a Uriah Howell that I thought you may want to check out. This comes from the book "Descendants of Edward Howell..." 1st Ed 1968 by Emma Howell Ross: Uriah D. Howell a carpenter, b. 5/19/1815; d. 1884. Went to Illinois in 1836; m. Elsie Nevius, b. 10/11/1820; d. 1889, dau. of Johannes Nevius. Issue: Col. Charles, b. 1843; m. Adelaide Robbins; had issue William, b. 1848; unmar. Ann Eliza, b. 1845; m. John Gulick; had issue John, m. Augusta Snell; had issue Alice Supposed to be one more; all listed in the 1850 census of Jersey Co, IL. Take care. My mystery Howell is Samuel Urier (Uriah?) HOWELL, who lived in the ARK/MO/Illinois area in the 1870-1900 era. Among his sons is a Paul Howell, my grandfather. Sorry that I don't have more info right now, but I'm hoping that Samuel Howell's unusual middle name stands out in someone's data. Thanks.
