I have spent the past week putting together my Howell line to post to this list so that I may help others as well as myself in locating unknown family. But with what has been going on lately I'm wondering if my efforts(or anyone else's) would be appreciated at all. There seems to be a lack of appreciation on the part of some members. As a relatively new member of this list serve(and I belong to many) I must say that if anything were to cause me to run screaming from this particular one it would not be Jim. It would be those who have spent far too much Internet time whining about a nice gesture and a simple misunderstanding of how software posted (meaning unintended attachments). Genealogy is supposed to be a fun adventure into our personal history not a battle over such meaningless crap. If we were receiving unrelated advertisements and messages on a daily basis that would one thing, but I have not seen this to be the case. The reality is people, if you think you can do a better job than Jim, without being paid, than do it. If you can't . . . BACK OFF! I for one think he is doing a great job. Denise
