I have been having problems working with the Howells of England - as I rework my very old research information, I am finding many discrepancies and hope someone has some answers by this time as I sure do not: 1. Exactly which church is it that William Howell (1520-1528) is buried in: St Peter and St Paul in Wingrave or St Marys in Hardwick? Seldom do two sources say the same as to the contents of his will or which church he was buried in. I would imagine anyone who has taken the tour over to England has seen his tomb and would know for sure? 2. I am having much difficulty with the 2d wife of William Howell: Anne (Eyre) (Hampton) - somewhere along the way some years back I began to show that she was of Wedhampton, a daughter of John Eyre and Ellin Croker who was d/o John Croker. But in trying to put together now information I have on the Eyre families of Wedhampton and Great Chalfield, I cannot find a spot for this John Eyre let alone any wife named Ellin or a daughter Anne.
