Apparently the Howle line I am from is not related to any of these Howells. I had the 25 marker test done some while back and have received several matches, but none from Howells. Most of the data I have received indicates that my male ancestor many generations ago was Nordic, possibly Viking. My haplogroup is I. The ystr.org map shows mostly Northwest Europe as where I get the most hits. My direct male ancestor came to Virginia from England as best I can determine. There is a village in England, close to Ross-on-Wye called Howle Hill. Regards, Bill
