Worth last Friday. He had been going under the name of Ed Forest and claimed to be the nephew of Gen. Forest. On the day of his arrest, he killed a good citizen of Ft. Worth. When HOWELL left Terrell he ran away with a lewd woman and married her at Jefferson 23 March 1900, Friday: Mrs. H.B. HOWELL of Chisholm died Thursday. Her husband preceded her about two weeks ago. The first part of the war he was in the Mississippi regiment of infantry, Co. H; the latter part he served in the cavalry under General Forrest. He was a member of the M.E. Church, South. Couch in the Dixie community. She was married to J.F. Park in 1863 and one son, J.F. Park, Jr. was born, who now lives in Roswell, New Mexico. Mr. Park was killed in the Civil War. In 1866, she married T.E. HOWELL and five daughters and four sons were born, five of whom are deceased. Those surviving are: Mrs. S.H. Couch of Terrell, Mrs. J.B. HOWELL of Gilmer, G.H. HOWELL of Merkel and J.F. Park of New Mexico. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Three daughters and one son, John HOWELL of Dallas, survive. He had lived in Wills point nearly all his life. He is also survived by one brother, L.L.
