    1. [HOWELL] Roll Call - a lurker speaks - Howells in Alabama - from NC
    2. Hello to all. I am a lurker for about the last 3 months. I am descended from Howells from Wayne County, NC > central TN (for a while) > Perry County, Alabama > Pensacola, Florida > Montgomery, Alabama. With the help of cousins in Texas, Kentucky, California, New York, Florida, Mississippi, and here in Montgomery, we have figured out our lines, leading back to John Howell, a RW soldier in Wayne County. My Howell line is like this (all are Howells): George Clinton Jr. (b. Montgomery, AL 1947 - d. not yet) George Clinton (b. Pensacola, FL 1921 - d. Montgomery, AL 1980) George Lewis (b. Pensacola, FL 1900 - d. Montgomery, AL 1969) Ira Clinton (b. Perry County, AL 1874 - d. Montgomery, AL 1951) George Washington (b. Maury County, TN - died Perry County, AL 1879) Bennett B. (b. Wayne County, NC - d. where? when?) Lewis (b. Wayne County, NC - d. 1840 Perry County, AL) John (b. Wayne County, NC 1753 - d. Wayne County, NC) Joshua (we think) - Wayne County, NC Our questions are these: Who was Lewis Howell's wife (she died in Perry County, AL in 1839, but we don't know her name - may be a Raiford)? Who was John Howell's wife? If it was Isabell Jernigan, please prove it. Who was Joshua Howell's father? I have some information on other lines descended from Lewis Howell. Any info on lines from anybody in my line would be appreciated. Thanks for any help! Stay tuned!! George C. Howell Jr. (at work, on my lunch hour)
