My family lore was that 5 or 6 of one family came togeather to the new land from England. Seems it was a ship called the Purple Cow...but surely that was mistaken. I have never been able to trace my line further back than Mathew HOWELL m. to Keiza who was in the King's Orange Rangers for 7 years as a sergeant. He went to Nova Scotia after the Am Rev and then Upper Canada. His line has been traced then to Southern OH and other parts. Wonder if this is a connection to my line? Time will tell I guess.
