Ella Manvers Rowen Nancy Jennetta Howell - Census 1870 and 1880; nothing else known John H. Howell b ~1873 (grandson) m. Margaret Burns Margarett Hammond Bassett Howell m. WH Howell b~1835, about whom names only are known. They had a son Aldolphus, who had half-siblings: Ira and Isaac Bassett. Margarett died in 1880 in the home of Mary Helmick Howell and her children. George Howell m. 11 Oct 1866 in Morocco, Newton, Ind, ME Church,and may well have been related. Most of Reason's children were b. LaPorte Co, Ind, where he appeared in the 1860 Census. By 1870 Mary Helmick Howell and her children lived in Newton Co., Ind. Reason possibly appeared in the 1850 Shelby Co. Ohio Census with the family of Daniel Howell 73 b. Md. b. ~1777 Sarah 45 b. Md 1805 Eli 21 b. Oh 1829 Phillip 17 b. Oh 1833 Mary A.E. 17 b. Oh 1833 Meason 26 b. Oh 1824 Mary 21 b. Va 1829 William 2 b. Oh 1848 Mary Helmick Howell was indeed born Va in that time frame; and, since census ages sometimes vary, the ages for Meason/Reason and William are reasonably possible. Is this the Daniel Howell s/o Joshua of Champaign Co? That Daniel m. Phoebe Ross in Virginia, and went to Ohio in 1810. Jonathan Howell (1788-1870) m.
