I have no idea that what I have to say will mean any- thing to you. My great grandmother was Mary Jane Howell who m. Samuel Irwin in Wilson, Co., Tn., in 1811. My grand-father was Wm. B. Irwin, b. 1820, m. 1863, Harriet Blanche Nelson, Limestone Co., Al. The first female child of my grandparents, was Willie B., named for her father, William B. The second child was JESSIE. Now, who was she named for? My mother was the only other daughter. She was given her mother's name, Harriet. Does any of this parallel your research? egniwri@aol.com
