However, after reading the entire online journal, I'm sorry to say I have to conclude that, while they are probably related as "cousins" in some way, the Joseph Howell who was the father of Jesse Rue appears to be a different Joseph than Joseph H. who married Louisa Carn, and I can't make the connection.
