This helps me when I acknowledge the arrival of the donation. If there is anyone out there who doesn't know what this is about let me briefly explain--awhile back when our server went down a new server was added by Rootsweb to accomodate us. This was a $6,000.00 investment and they didn't ask us for a dime. I proposed to my lists that we take up a donation to help with the cost of the new server. Many of our members have responded. It IS NOT necessary to donate and no one will know who does and doesn't. You DO NOT have to donate or pay dues to be on this list! Many who are already current sponsor of Rootsweb have written explaining that you already have sent in sponsorship and that is fine. This is in no way related to sponsorship of Rootsweb. Let's all keep looking for ancestors and I hope we all find ours. One note--some of my lists have been very inactive and I'd like to encourage everyone to get involved and send in your queries, desc. charts etc to the list. Maybe we'll find some links.
