Hi folks! Does anyone know if hospital records exist from the Civil War (particularly the South)? And if so, how does one get copies. Family history says my gg grandfather died in a hospital near Manassas Junction, VA; widows pension application implies he died in the field; Nat. Archives shows him present way past the time he died, although shows him not receiving pay after the date he died per the pension application. Boy, ain't this genealogy stuff fun! Marshall
