The names you mentioned don't click, but my branch of Howells were born in Ga. and moved to Ala.They were Joshua and wife Mary, their children, Abel who married Louisa Lilley, Joseph, Joshua W., Ruth A., Jasper married to Martha Elisabeth, Maud and Bertha.In the Ala 1860 census, Abel lived in Wynn Creek, Jasper lived in Dadeville, John and Joshua both lived in Wynn Creek also, all in Tallapoosa Co.
