Sarah - What time period are you talking? << Hi, Do any of you Howell Listers have ancesters that came from Byberry, Philidelphia,PA? Sarah >>
I'm sorry, I got that wrong. He was from Byberry and she was "of southern Township Pennsylvania, Montgomery County" however there were Howell in Byberry. CATHERINE HOWELL m JAMES CRAWFORD 2 Fed 1762 in Christ Church Philidelphia. Catherine Howell was Welch. Some think her father was Thomas. Catherine and James moved to Rockbridge Co VA in 1786. There was in Rockbridge Co a THOMAS and ANN HOWELL who is thought to be Catherine's brother and also a mention of Able Thomas, a nephew of Catherine. "Decendants of the Thomas' are in KY and IA. I mention this because I seem to remember an Able in connection with the Howells. I wondered if this could be the Thomas that was in NC but I had some problems with the computer (or the computer had some problems with me) and I seem to have deleted the information on them. I do have this information from some marriage records of Byberry that I think came from the IGI. Ephriam Howell relative of Chas Eugene Walton b 1789 or 1755 Byberry Hanna Howell b 17 July 1686 dau of Thomas and Mary Howell m William Hibbs 2 Feb or Dec 1686 Byberry Richard Howell relative of Walton b ca 1685 Byberry Sarah Howell relative of Walton m Wm Walton 20 Apr 1689 Byberry Thomas Howell m 19 Feb 1719 Katherine Curtis. Thomas a relative of Wm E. Watson.
