I do not know about your Ezekiel Howell, but I can say that this Ira E. Howell who was also in Marengo Co., AL was a son of my Lewis Howell. Lewis Howell died in Perry Co., AL in 1840. He was the son of John Howell who was born 1753 in Wayne Co., NC and died 1843 in Wayne Co. NC. "MARENGO CO., AL: page 292 Will of Ira E. Howell. dated 18 Sep 1849 probated Oct 1850 Son Wiley D. Howell, wife Cintha Howell, schooling of my 2 youngest children Wiley L. and Harriet B. Howell, 4 children Rachael g. Tucker, Rebeca Ann Davis, Wiley L. Howell and Harriet S. Howell 54 b. NC My ancestor was the only daughter of Lewis Howell, Mary Ann Howell, who married Archibald Campbell.
