There is an Isreal that married Sarah Linsweller, 10 Sep 1814 in Champaign Co, OH (source;Early Marriages of Ohio with LDA County numbers, Family Tree Maker CD) There is a Lemuel Howell in the 1850 census in Jefferson twp, Clark Co, Indiana We have a Lemuel who was born in Champaign Co, OH about 1814, parents were James and Abigail (Sumpter) Howell. He married Barbara Huddleston 16 June 1837 in Delaware Co, Indiana. Do you know who Aden Howell? He is listed in 1810 Champaign Co, OH tax records (Ohio Source Books) Our Howell family (Joshua and Mary with chidren-David, Nancy,Abigail, Joshua Jr, Thomas, James, John, Daniel,and Jeremiah) were first residents of Champaign Co in 1808. So as you check for your Isreal, look in all the surrounding counties. I found the county lines changed several time in the time between 1800 and 1820. Hope you have some luck.
