Velta - There are several very good genealogy programs on the market today, but if you are looking for a beginning program that is easy to use and inexpensive, try Family Origins 6.0 for Windows from Parsons Technology (1-800-779-6000). It's only $29. I have a database with over 24,000 names and this program handles this easily. This program can also make gedcom files to share information with other genealogy programs. This company also sells Family Tree Maker by Broderbund for $59. Good luck.
