I have been lurking with this group for a couple of months now. Most of you seem to be involved with the American branches of the Howells. Is there anyone who knows anything about the Middlesex/Surrey, England, branch? John Howell was apparently born at Thames Ditton, London, 21 Dec.1806. His family is unkown and I would like contact with anyone who has knowledge of this branch. He later worked at Ham House, Surrey, and then emigrated to New Zealand with his wife Ann Cordery (m.1829) in 1841. The NZ branch of the family has been well documented. Any response will be appreciated.
