    1. HOWE buried along Hood Canal in Wash. State
    2. Oliver Howe
    3. I discovered an old cemetery along an old rural road leading South from the west end of the Hood Canal Floating Bridge... the little road heads towards the old ferry landing at South Point. Across the road from the canal is a very neglected cemetery on the side of the hill with at least one HOWE family buried there. From the thombstones I jotted down the following: Samuel U. Howe 1869 - 1974 Bertha A. 1871 - 1927 [I think Samuel's wife, but didn't include this in my note. Cecil L. Howe US Marines, WW I; Aug. 17, 1898 - Aug. 9, 1979 Hubert "Speed" Howe 1908- 1983 These graves were all grouped togeather, as I recall, but just found notes that I had made over ten years ago. Also, in the same location was the grave of a Vivian M. [Thompson, I think]... 1913 - 1985. My reason for posting is two-fold. Wondering if anyone knows this Howe family... and also thought, just maybe, someone is looking for them. My own HOWE family migrated from New Youk State to this same general area in 1900... Yet I don't know of this family. Oliver Howe ohowe@willapabay.org
