Looking for information on a James M.(Madison?) Howe. He was in Illinois in 1860. I do not know where he came from. I do not know the County in Illinois. Was found on the Census in Texas in 1880 that says he was born in Illinois in 1835. In researching the Howe Book of John Howe of Sudbury Mass. There was a James Madison Howe father and son in ME or Maryland. No other information was on the Family. The son was born about 1836 and had a sister named Martha. My James Howe had two daughters born in Illinois . Martha Ellen Howe born on Nov.8,1861 and Margaret Howe born in 1863. Would appreciate any help on the James M. Howe in Illinois and Maryland.
