My name is Muriel, and my great-grandmother was a HOUSH. Her father was David, son of Jacob, son of Adam and Becca. My g grandmother was born in 1856 in Carpentersville, Putnam County, Indiana. I have followed several lines down from Adam's children, those who went to IL and those who went to MO and KS. I am working on a few now, one of which was Andrew HOUSH, who settled in Jackson County IN. I have a few of his children that are not in my database as yet. Cynthiana who married a Gullett, and a Johnson, Elizabeth who married a Seaton, Andrew Jr who married an Evaline (I have the marriage record somewhere, but not in my data base) a George HOUSH, etc. Andrew HOUSH Sr was married twice, first to Mary RITTER, in 1806 in KY, then second to Mrs. Susanna LONG PHELPS. Mary RITTER was the mother of his children. I would be interested in contacting anyone researching this line. HOUSH who went to California in 1850, and was the son of Thomas HOUSH and Clarissa MOORE. NEXT: Does anyone know where the research that Grant S. HOUSH did in the 1940s, might be located? Grant S. HOUSH was descended from John of Ohio. But he seemed to be interested, much so, in the HOUSH line that went to MO and KS.
