Fairchild line. I also married S. House from Georgia, but I do not think there is a connection on the House side. However, I have two books by Jean Gilmore "Early Fairchilds in America" and "More Fairchilds in America." Here is info from "More Fairchilds in America" pg 99. regarding Ester Fairchild. Ester- daughter of Cornelius Fairchild son of Peter (more info on Peter on page 38) Cornelius Fairchild b. 1825 Townsend twp., Norfolk Co. Ontario, Canada d 12 Aug 1904; bur. Bookton Cem, Windham, Norfolk Co., Ontario m. Rebecca Johnson 14 Dec 1847 ; b 2 Sept 1820; d 15 June 1915 Norwich, Ontario; bur with Cornelius. Children of Cornelius Fairchild and Rebecca Johnson: Ester Fairchild b 1849 Oakland, Brant Co., Ontario; She d 15 Oct 1916 Westboro, Ontario. She was a piano teacher. m 1877 to Thomas Allen House b 27 July 1843 Hamilton, Ontario, d 23 Feb 1907 prob. Brantford, Ontario. (Thomas was the s/o Robert Nelles and Jane (Stinson) House;) . He was a carpenter and farmer. children of Ester and Thomas: (more info in book) Edward Wilburn b 1879 Bookton, Ontario Ralph b 1882 Harry b 1888 Rebecca Lena b 1890 Children of Cornelius continued: Andrew b 1851 Mariah b ca 1853 Cornelius was a calculus teacher. Daughter Augusta's letter to the mother of Julius Johnson, descendant of Cornelius' brother Abiel, speaks of her father as "a very trim and neat old gentleman he was." Sources of the info recorded in the Gilmore book are Julius Johnson; Pat Mcclain, Gloria Stennett Again, there is more info from this book. This is just brief summary. I hope this helps you.
