Mark House (Haus) was born in Germany and emigrated to PA. He eventually moved to Mecklenberg Co, NC, where he died in 1789. He names two sons in his will: John and Elias. Both John and Elias had sons named Jacob. Elias served from NC during the Rev War and received an invalid pension (he lost an arm). Elias is supposed to be the father of the Jacob who m. Sarah Barringer. The information I was given said that Elias' son stayed in NC and John's son moved to IL but maybe the person who did this got it backwards?? Also, I have one article that says Elias died in Union Co, IL, and another place says Perry Co, IL. This is not my line; it is just information I have found while looking for Archibald House in NC.
