Afternoon session from two until seven o'clock, during which time officers were elected for the meeting as follows: Chairman: WM A. BEVILLE, of Chicago, Sec H. ELMER HOUSE, Manhattan, Kansas, National Sec: Mrs L.R. ADAMS of Richmond, Ind was present. Owing to the business of the organization which Mrs Adams represented for National Heirs, Mr House was appointed Secretary of the meeting. --- Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Kansas, California, Missouri, Michigan, Colorado, and Oklahoma were represented. All House Heirs were notified to be present at this convention to have a voice in a final decision in selecting legal council and the disposition of the funds now held by the Treasurer, B. S. House of LaBelle, MO., which have been collected at the different meetings held by the House Heirs organization. Resolutions were adopted as follows; moved and seconded that this organization support Mr J. CANNON and his Atty. FRANK A. HUSTON of St Paul, Minn. in their efforts to realize on the claims of the organization, and support Mr CANNON and his Atty., with their efforts and funds now on hand in all proceedings which they may undertake, and all investigations and proceedings instituted by Mr CANNON or his Atty. for the purpose of recovering what is known as the House Estate, shall be regarded as action of this organization by this convention. Owing to the inability of the organization to raise the amount reguired by Marchant and Clay of Missouri, to take first action in the case, and after consideration of the offer of Mr Cannon through his Atty., Mr HUTSON to commence proceedings at once to investigate the claim of the organization, this convention deemed it to be the best interest of the organization to accept the offer. Mr HUTSON stated that he had gained a great deal of valuable information through his recent investigation and with the united efforts of Mrs L. R. ADAMS, National Secretary, and the important papers in her possession, is confident that a settlement can be reached in about 18 months time. Some of the oldest heirs were present and there was great enthusiasm manifested. All heirs that have not secured their family record should apply to Mrs L R ADAMS, of Richmond, Ind., at once for same. Signed: WM A BEVILLE< Chairman, H ELMER HOUSE< Secretary, Mrs L R ADAMS, National Secretary
