Hello, I am researching the family HOUSE. I have just begun this task and can only go back to John William House, b. 06-02-1912 in Texas and d. 08-1961 in Edinburgh, Texas. He went by the names of "J.W." and "Slim". He was an oilfield truck driver and tool pusher. J.W. had several brothers and sisters; two brothers, one called "Slim" (yes, this can get confusing!) and one called "Bud". His sisters were; Belle who lived in Taft, TX and Effie. There may have been two other sisters. The Houses allegedly came to the Temple, Bell County, area of Texas from Mississippi around the turn of the century. They had farms in the Heidenhammer area and some lived in Bartlett and Rogers. J.W. married Hazel Marie Gibson about 1933-34 and they had a large family of 9 children; Christene Marie b. 1934, John William Jr. b. 1936, Martin Dwane b. 1938, Howard Lee b. 1941, Mary Ann b. 1942, David Gordon b. 1946, Susan Elizabeth b. 1948, Terry Jane b. 1952, and Laura Kay b. 1954. At various times J.W. and Hazel lived is Rio Grande City, Sinton, Kenedy, Alice, Edinburg...all in Texas. If any one can connect my J.W. to one of their lines, I would be so appreciative. Thanks!
