Reverend Wesley Martin will officiate. Interment follows in Crossroads Cemetery in Sasakwa. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Mrs. Payne died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at her home. Mrs. Payne was born January 18, 1933 in Sasakwa, Okla. to John and Katie (Crump) House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee McKinley Payne, her parents John and Katie House; two brothers: Robert House and R. H. House; six grandchildren: Joe, Glenda, Bobby, Kenneth, Wilma Dean, and Donald Lee Payne. Mrs. Payne lived in the Konawa area for 29 years before moving to Burns, Tenn. She enjoyed canning vegetables fresh out of the garden, a good game of dominoes and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church in Sasakwa and attended Cornerstone Church of God in Dickson. Survivors include; sister, Alta Mae Wright of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers, Ben House of Camden, Ark., John House of Clarksville, Tenn., Paul House of Oklahoma City and Jessie House of Tyler, Texas; sons, Randy Payne and wife, Cathy of Waldron, Ark., Gary Payne and wife, Arlene, of Burns, Tenn., Donnie Payne and wife, Christy, of Burns, Tenn., Bruce Payne and wife, Mary, of Sulphur, daughters, Virginia Tull and husband, Bill, of Hon, Ark., Phyllis Beeler and husband, Jerry, of Waldron, Ark.; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
