I suspect he married sisters, possibly daughters of Samuel House and Elizabeth Easton of Ohio. Smith first married Julia Ann House in 1842 in Marion co., Ohio. They had a daughter Zelgett/Zeliaett who died as an infant in 1845. Julia Ann died in 1846. He then married Elizabeth House in 1847. Smith and Elizabeth had George Scott; Walter Israel; Frank H.; Iris Dora (married E.C. Livenspire); Mary E. (married John D. Peters). Smith died in 1900 and Elizabeth in 1906. Does anyone know the parents of the House wives?
