List I have a book called Spanning the River ,Dewey County History 1890-1974. I would like to share an article written about a HAASE family. In part it says; Charles Haase came to America from Germany in 1888. He landed in New York and worked there in a grocery store for about 8 months. Then he went to South Dakota where he went to school a year and hearded sheep and turkey for a living. Later he came to Oklahoma City and worked for a Mr. Herskowitz, who owned a general merchandise store. It goes on and says he married Mary Blanche Allen Oct. 1902. 13 children to theis union, 10 in Dewey County,3 more in Beckham County where the family moved in 1919. He died in 1955 at 84 and Mary in 1961 at age 76. It says 1974 all 13 children still living and well. It has a picture of Charles,Mary and four children: Cecelia Marie,Anna Maud,Carol and Rosa made in 1908. I just wanted to share in the hopes someone was looking.
