I'm trying to find some info on my mother's uncle, Merton E House. He was born in Mentor Ohio in about 1865. According to what my mother told me he was the first in our family to change his name from Hoose to House. Parents were Jacob Hoose who was one of a long line of Hooses in Mentor and Alice Way. I know that he married a woman named Hattie and that they had no children.He was a dentist and in the 1930 census they are living in Lexington Nebraska. Would love to know who Hattie was and when and where they died. If anyone knows anything about Mert & Hattie I'd love to hear from you. Nancy
