Searching for unknown parents of Maud Pearl HOUSE, b. abt. 1874. Maud was adopted when she was abt. 3 yrs. old by Samuel H. & Emeline (Bright) HINDS who were in the Decatur, IA area in the 1880's. Maud's mother said to have died in childbirth and father may have been in the medical field. Unknown why Maud was adopted. Maud HOUSE m. John Samuel BALDEN abt 1894-96. She died 30 Dec. 1915 and is buried in Alden Cemetery, near Carnegie, OK. She died in or shortly after childbirth. It is possible the surname may have changed and we believe she was from German extraction. Not much to go on, would appreciate ANY help. Thank You, Jerry Vernon Great Grandson

The annual House family reunion will be held Sunday October 13th at Levi Jackson State Park in London Kentucky. This is mostly the descendants of John and Mary (Polly) House, and related families, which are to numerous to mention here. Anyone interested in attending PLEASE bring family trees if possible, old photos are always nice to see. Good musicians are always welcome too! There are usually some guitar players there. Hi mail list, My wife's ancestor was Rebecca Caroline Howze, b. 27 Mar 1828 at Augusta, Perry Co., MS and d. 14 Jun 1904 at Meridian, Lauderdale Co., MS. She married John Howell Ogburn 1 Sep 1847 (place unknown) and they raised their children in Clarke Co., MS through 1859. They don't appear in the 1860 Clarke Co., MS census. I'm looking for the ancestry of Rebecca Howze. I believe her parents were William and Mary L. Howze. I found a William Howze (b. 1770-1780) and a wife (b. 1780-1790) as the head of a household in the 1830 Perry Co., MS census. They were no longer listed there in the 1840 census. Can anyone help? He was married to Bernice Louise Shooltz who died in 1986. Robert is my maternal grandfather. His father is Melvin John House who's first wife was Laura Grace Steckinriter.
