Hi Tom, I noticed that one of your surnames, NEFF, is one that I am searching. I have Esther NEFF, b. about 1727 and died 1815. She was married to Gabriel SWINEHART. They are my 5th maternal grandparents. NEFF is such an unusual name that I thought maybe there might be a connection. I always feel it doesn't hurt to check out even the remotest possibility. The only thing I know about him is that he was a dentist in Lexington Nebraska. Don't even know if he ever married and had a family. Updated to the list with hopes new members can connect to new information. I have traced my gggf MDL(Marcus deLafayette)HOUSEb1825TN m.Eliz.Frances TERRYcir1845 TN, possibly Haywood Co. His brother Wiley Jesse m. her sister Marinda A.TERRY abt 1855 and moved from Haywood Tn to San Saba Co. TX then to Williamson Co(Bagdad,Leander) TX. They arrived in TX prior to 1860. The sisters TERRY had a brother Stephen Woodson who came later to San Saba Tx. He married a Volumia Adams who was a grdaughter to Unity House Adams. My MDL left Tn and moved to Lauderdale Co. MS in late 1840's then after civil war moved into Limestone Co. TX near Springfield (now Groesbeck) TX. The Terry siblings are children of John TERRY and Sarah who are on the 1850 census in Haywood Co. TN. Sarah is there on the 1860 census(John dies late 1850's) Sarah then moves to Praire Co. AR where there is an estate settlement cir 1867. I am trying to connect the House brothers to possibly Joseph who is living nearby the Terry's in Haywood. This Joseph b abt 1780 and I believe is the same Joseph who I believe Wiley (or William) Jesse and Marcus could be of his first marriage, however have not been able to prove. Joseph is the son of John who died in EdgecombeNC. Joseph is also the brother to Unity House (above) who married Briton Adams.( Also trying to connect MDL to Wiley Jesse House b.TN1801 who is living next door to MDL in Lauderdale MS 1850 census and nearby in Neshoba Co.
