I am looking for death/burial information for Charles and Mary (Ann) HOUSE Charles was b.1819-1821 VT or NY, died bet. 1860-1865 Mary Ann was b. abt 1820 NY, died 1850-1852 They were living in Royalton, Niagara County, NY at the time of the 1850 census, in 1860 Charles was living in Royalton with his second wife, Sarah, and had died bef 1865 when Sarah was remarried. I am interested in any information on Jacob or Christian Hauss/Hass who settled in Lincoln County NC around 1764. Jacob had sons Christian, Anthony, Francis, and John. I'm trying to find some info on my mother's uncle, Merton E House. He was born in Mentor Ohio in about 1865. According to what my mother told me he was the first in our family to change his name from Hoose to House. Parents were Jacob Hoose who was one of a long line of Hooses in Mentor and Alice Way. I know that he married a woman named Hattie and that they had no children.He was a dentist and in the 1930 census they are living in Lexington Nebraska. Would love to know who Hattie was and when and where they died. If anyone knows anything about Mert & Hattie I'd love to hear from you. Nancy

I have info from a will written in 1837 Columbiana Co., OH that lists Eleanor House half-sister to Elias Adgate (writer of will), Elizabeth House Moore (my ggg-grandmother), Mercy House Smart, and Charlotte House Freet. I have other info on early House names in Ohio. Elias Adgate was also a brother-in-law to Callahans. I know from census records that Elizabeth House Moore was born in Maryland in 1792. Callahans and Adgate came together to Green Twp., Ohio by 1806--Callahans from Hagerstown Maryland. Mercy was married in Oh in 1809, Elizabeth in 1811, and Catherine in 1820. I believe the following Benj B. House, enumerated in the 1850 Lexington, Holmes, Mississippi Federal Census to be my g-g-g grandfather: Benj B. House 38 Farmer TN Elizabeth 35 TN *Frances 14 MS (My g-g grandmother) William 12 MS John 8 MS Elizabeth 7 MS Sarah 7 MS James 3 MS 1860, Middle Div., Dickson, Tennessee Ben House 49 TN Elizabeth 45 TN Frances 22 TN John 19 TN Sarah E 15 TN Elizabeth 15 TN James 13 TN Parilee? 6 TN I have not, as yet, located Benjamin and Elizabeth in 1870. But, I have located Elizabeth House in 1880 in Neely Twn, Butler, Missouri enumerated as widowed living near her daughter, Frances E. Lane. Frances E. House married a Mr. May abt 1860 most likely in Tennessee. They had one son Jacob W. May. Jacob states on numerous Census that his father was born in Mississippi. Frances later married Robert Lane abt 1862. They had the following children: Charles Owen, 1864; James R., 1868; John R. D., 1871; Johanna(Joella), 1873. In my hours of searching census on the House surname, I notice that there are gobs of Benjamins. Is there information anywhere on the various branches of the House family? Hello Everyone: I am trying to locate a family of HOUSE who were living in the Flint, Genesee Co., MI area from about 1900 to 1920. This is what I have: Beatrice HOUSE daughter of John HOUSE and Anna (GRAVES) HOUSE applied for a marriage license in Wayne County Michigan with Charles D. PAYTON. and they were married July 30, 1919. Beatrice was 22 years old at the time and James was 31 yrs. Beatrice was born in Michigan. The two witnesses were John Kryci and Ruth Heuser. Does anyone have this family in their lines? I am trying to find out where they went after they married. My husband was told as a child that they went to California. This couple was my husbands' uncle. This family has been real hard to research as there were 8 children the oldest being born in 1886 and the last born in 1911. I have no problem with the four youngest children but the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th children have been a real trial. I have tried checking the Census records for the 1900 and 1910 years but have not had any luck locating them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Jean Payton
