I did find some info on the House's in Clay Co KY that had gotten liquor licenses. I also found some buried in Jane House cemetery in Laurel Co, KY. I found these through "Find a Grave.com". You may have some relatives buried there. I had searched for Clarenda & Matison House's graves for some time and Find a Grave popped up and I typed in their names and lo and behold, there they were! They lived in Clay Co KY and buried in Laurel Co KY.

The name Bezaleel Thayer sounded familiar to me so I looked it up in my genealogy. This is what I found: No. 2386. V G. BEZALEEL THAYER. Fifth child of Dr. Reuben and Sarah Carrier his second wife, married Sarah Johnson, 6 January, 1792. Mrs. Sarah Thayer was born 5 September, 1777. Settled in Hartwick, Otsego Co., N. Y. Farmer. Children are: 1. Daniel, born 24 Nov. 1793 Died 1794. 2. Bezaleel, born 27 Sept. 1795 Mr. Bezaleel Thayer died 4 May, 1796. No. 2388. II H. GEN'L BEZALEEL THAYER. Second child of Bezaleel and Sarah Thayer, married Margaret House, 4 July, 1816, by Rev. John Wack, of Fort Plain, Montgomery Co., N. Y. Settled in Salt Spring Hollow, Springfield, Otsego Co., N. Y. Manufacturer of woolen goods. In June, 1819 removed to Mexico, Oswego Co., N. Y., where he was concerned in manufacturing until 1856, when he retired from business. Children are: 1. I need to make a correction on something I posted earlier about Sion House. Brinkley House lived with his family in MADISON Co, GA, not Oglethorpe. Also, James Hartsfield was appointed guardian of Brinkley's son, Thomas, and Isaac Vincent was appointed guardian of Sion. This is what comes from trying to do stuff too much from memory! Phyllis

The Hartsfields were also from Wake Co, and they are another of my lines. I don't know Brinkley's wife's name. Brinkley is believed to be the son of Thomas House and Susannah Carroll. Nimrod House (b. 1766) is not the son of Thomas House and Suckey/Susannah Carroll. Thomas and Susannah were not married until 1771. Nimrod does appear in a few early Wake Co records. Also, Nimrod was in the Am Rev. He appears on a list of Capt Wood's Horse in Col Malmedy's Regiment. There is also a Benjamin House on this list. Nimrod appears in Oglethorpe Co, GA, by 1795. By 1810, he appears in Hardin Co, KY. By 14 April 1825, he left a will in Pike Co, MO, naming wife Ruth; Flemmon G. (Flemming?), Fielden J., James W, Green, Hardin, Joseph, Robert, Kitty, Polly, Elizabeth, Nancy, Abby, Alice and Rebecca. I don't know if Ruth was his only wife. Nimrod also appears in a SC record, but I am not sure whether he lived there or if he was a witness for someone else who had property in SC. I am not related to Nimrod House, as far as I can tell. My House ancestors were from Wake Co, NC. I am descended from Archibald House who married Dorcas Garner. Archibald is the brother of Thomas House (md Susannah Carroll); James House (moved to Oglethorpe Co, GA), and possibly a John and a William House. Phyllis

My great grandfather was James Alfred House, born in Illinois They lived at Gilgal Island, Rockport.. That line goes all the way back to Chief Big Thunder and his daughter Bright Lightning. BARB

I have Nimrod House as the son of Thomas House and Sukey Carroll. Thomas had a brother named James House (my ancestor) who was born in Wake Ct, NC and died in Oglethorpe County, GA. Is this the same family.
