Hi there. I've just discovered this list and hope you will be able to help me. My husband's grandmother Florence May House married Arthur Cunliffe Wyndham-Elliot(t) in England in about 1911 or 1912. Possibly in London. Arthur may have been a broker. We haven't been able to find any information about Flora or her family, other than her father was Geeorge Frederick House, who may have been a hotel keeper. We have a photograph (?early 1900s?) of an adult woman, three young men and Flora. There's a strong resemblance to my husband in all of them, so we are assuming they are Flora's mother and brothers. Names unknown, except mother may have been Jane Smith. My husband's mother talks about growing up in Peterborough, Kings Lynn and Heacham, before she and her mother and step-father (Flora's second husband) came to Australia in the early 1920s. It would be wonderful if someone on the list can throw any light on the House family for me. Hello...I have just finished a book about Pioneers of Medina Co. Ohio with all surnames beginning with "H" from mid 1800's to early 1900's and would be glad to do a free look up to see if your family is mentioned in this book. I have created a format that I believe will help anyone searching for their family..I have combined: Newspaper articles, marriages, deaths, mini bio's, court records, cemetery records and more....all with the surname in Bold print for easy searching. I was tired of buying a lot of books that had so much that didn't help me and thought if I'm tired of wasting money so will others. While I am bound by certain rules by my publisher I can do free look ups and if your family is mentioned I can let you know the print date and the cost of the book. (As well I am already working on "M" surnames and will go to A-Z before I'm done). Thank you for your time and let me know if I can be of help. December 1831 in Indiana d. before 1900 in Lincoln County, Kansas. He was married to Jane Connely in April 16, 1858 in Clay County, Indiana, she was born about 1839 and died about 1890. They had the following children. Lew House (female) born about 1861, Annie House born about July 1862 and Anderson Ward House (info already listed above). Some say that Isaac was married to someone else before Jane and then married Jane's sister after Jane died. If Isaac was married before Jane then they might have had a child by the name of William H. House b. September 20, 1855. I believe that Isaac's parents were William House and Catherine Wilson, but not sure. Can anyone help me find out the facts here. Thanks in advance and sorry for the length. If you have any info please email me directly. jlallen@poncacity.net.
