    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: SHIREY, HOUSE, ALSBACH Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SFk.2ACIB/99.150.538 Message Board Post: Please see my post under HOUSE surname regarding Adam Benjamin HOUSE & Julia Ray (SHIREY). Julia was the d/o Solomon M. SHIREY & Mary (ALSBACH), and was born in Michigan. However, her folks moved from there to LaPlata, Missouri. [Solomon was my Great-Great Uncle] Julia along with other siblings ended up in California. However, the SHIREY'S were all over the place - from Missouri to Montana, from there to Coeur 'd Alene, Idaho, from there to Orting, Washington, from there Solomon died in a Military Home in L. A. where he's buried in California. Some of the children lived in Fresno & Stanislaus Counties, CA. I'm just finding out. Any connections? Per chance in a "blue moon" is there any connections and do you have further information on the family? I just found this data within the last few days so have nothing on their family which I wouldn't mind finding.

So far in our research all of our House ancesters have been from the southeastern counties in N.C. Use my e-mail address and we can discuss this in detail. I have been searching for the Edwin James House family for over a year now to no avail. He relocated his family to Stockton, Ga. in the early 1900's. Very possible some are in Fla. also since Stockton is very near the Fla. State line. He had several children so therefore must be some of them in either area. Thanks, Annie annmel1@juno.com

Henry, Nancy and Mary are buried in Allen's Lake Cemetary in Richfield Springs. I have photos of Chauncey and Almira. Almira's father, according to family legend is Mohawk Indian, but I'm beginning to doubt that.
