Levi Houghton Jr. (MA) -Levi Houghton Sr. (MA) On Feb. 21, 2004 my auction company will be conducting an auction for the Estate of Jack A. Ryan, son of Martha Palmer Houghton & George Ryan. Sadly, there are no heirs and we are selling on behalf of the Guardianship and the State of Washington. We have found within the items going to auction documents that may be of particular interest to family. These include early deeds in Massachusetts dated in the late 1700's to Levi Houghton, family photo's that include Henry M., hand painted porcelain by Martha Houghton Ryan. The deeds and other paper memorabilia were found in a leather pouch that a newspaper clipping stated belonged to Levi Houghton. The items have been folded away for years and their condition varies, mostly poor - fair. The deeds range from land to an interest in a church pew. We are under contract to sell the items at auction but due to the condition of the items I don't feel they will fetch high prices and are probably worth more to family.
