My gg gram, Mary Jane HOUGHTON was born in VT in ca 1829. One of my relatives say she is the dau of Chester and Hitty Wyman HOUGHTON. I have yet to verify this. Mary had 7-8 children, the 1st Jane Elizabeth SHAW, born in 1847 in Walworth Co, Wisconsin. Mary HOUGHTON & Samuel SHAW lived in Chicago (supposedly married there), Wisconsin and Minnesota. I have siblings (Permelia, Sarah, George, David & Elizabeth) and Mary's children if you are interested. I would welcome any correspondence.
