Hello all, I am interested in sharing notes with anyone doing research on the following families: William HOUGHTON (born 1790 in NC, died 1814 in Greene Co.GA) son of Joshua HOUGHTON Sr. (1744-1819) and Julia Fowler. [Joshua Sr. apparently had 7 sons and 2 daughters, all of which accompanied him to Greene County GA from Chowan Co. NC.] William married Elizabeth CRUTCHFIELD (died 1828 in Greene, GA). She was the daughter of John CRUTCHFIELD and Mary BARRETT. [by the way, Elizabeth's sister Doratha CRUTCHFIELD married William's brother Joshua HOUGHTON Jr. (1771-1841)] William and Elizabeth had the following children: William H. b. 1809 m. Eliza Ann BENNETT Elizabeth Crutchfield m. in 1922 Right ROGERS Lucy Ann (1810-1856) m. first John GONEKIN second (in 1849) Rev. P.P.
