Hi Jane, My Houghtons were from MA, NY and Vt. My great grandmother Elizabeth Rowell married David Houghton b NY 1805; son of Peter Houghton b 1768 in Leominster, Worcester, MA, d in Fairlee Vt; son of Abiather Houghton b 1726 in Leominster, Worcester, MA. My files of Houghtons is large but don't see a Benjamin or a Joseph at this time. I had to respond as the list has been too quiet and it's good to get things moving again.
