My research of Houghton has been restricted to Lancashire, England and more specifically to Formby. The 1841 Census of Formby records only the following Houghtons: Henry aged 60, Henry aged 30, John & Catherine both 25 and Thomas & Margaret both 20. Thomas is one of my wifes great grandfathers and Henry senior her g g grandfather. From 1841 the family tree has expanded to more than 200, not including the present generation. Information has been obtained from Censuses, Parish Records held in the Lancashire Records Office, Memorial Stones and present family knowledge. I would be interested in any information that could take the research back to an earlier generation. Sid Geoghegan
