I married into the Houghton family on June 23rd, 1984 when I married Sherrilyn Houghton. I have collected family tree information on both of our families for about ten years but only recently have started getting it organized. As I was going through part of my family tree, descendants of George Down and Celia Weeks, I came across Arno Oliver Houghton (Mar 14, 1890 - Feb 29, 1952). I had to look to see if there was a relation between Arno and my wife and sure enough, Arno is my wife's Great Uncle. The branch of the Houghton that I am researching are descendants of William Houghton (born Aug 28, 1834 in Lancashire, England) and Sarah Jane Edmondson (born May 24, 1842). They lived at St. Mary's, Petrolia, Houghton Center in Ontario, Canada. I would like to know if there are any cousins out there. Regards, Dale Harman daleharman@sympatico.ca
