    3. I joined the list in August 2000 hoping that something about my Houghton's may be posted. On re-reading the "welcome letter" I see that it refers to revising JW Houghton's 1912 Houghton Genealogy, in particular the American connections. Does this also include the English Houghton families? There does not appear to be much chat going on from the list and I can't say that there are many replies to any queries posted. Are there many subscribers? My Houghton's hail from Lutterworth, Leicestershire and left there for Australia in 1839 and included Robert Snr. and wife Elizabeth, son Robert and wife Mary Ann nee DILKS and 14 year old son James. Also on board was another daughter and her husband, leaving one son at home as far as I can work out. I have lots of info about the voyage and then afterwards but am having trouble with the English end. Any help would be appreciated. Annette in Dubbo NSW
